Monitor Recommendation

I am looking for 24-27 Inch Monitor (mainly gaming) to go with my gtx 1070 and couldn't make up my mind.


1) Dell S2716DG 2k 144hz TN gsync ($7xx)

2) Acer XB241h FHD 180hz gsync ($6xx)

These are the current choice I am looking at which I could find with gsync. When I google around I always see people mention that IPS is better than TN panel in terms of contrast. In this case, is it better to go for the contrast or to go for the higher resolution?

Or does Gsync even matter in the 144hz range, can look at cheaper choice in the 5xx at FHD. Could someone please advice?

+1 to this but heard some ppl that u might need to set as high to get good fps and visual on this monitor. (depends on what games u playing.

If your budget allows, can take a look at Acer Predator XB271HU. 1440p IPS Panel with G-SYNC.

I was looking at that originally. But I dont want to spend a thousand on a monitor. If is between these two monitors, 1440p more important or is the ips panel more important. I am not really sure. I am upgrading from a cheap Samsung monitor S24d300. As long as quality better than that I should be fine.


OR SHOULD I just find a second hand XB271HU?

Yes I saw those too. I was looking at qnix 27 2k display. But i wanted 144hz as well. And Idk about the quality. I saw some YouTube review saying these are really bad.
