Is there any available monitor in the market that have the same quality as hdtv?

Idk how to explain but its those hdtv that have freaking awesome screen that like make the movie look damn sharp, contrast and like a feel of 3D but not referring to 3D tv.

That kind of feel ~

Do make sure your videos are of excellent quality first before checking out those TVs...

im using dell 2312h monitor, the quality doesn't look as great. For example, an AQUOS hdtv that my gf own, have awesome video quality when playing the same file. Im looking for monitor that could provide me with those experience.

Do you sit as close to your TV, as when you use the computer monitor? That can make a v big difference. If you sit close to the tv, most of the time it looks v bad, most noticeably when you display text. Text on tv tend to look fuzzy.

I'm not sure whether Sharp AQUOS TV screen is anti-reflective.
But 2312 has v aggressive anti-glare coating, so images won't look as sharp and crisp as the clear type like iMac's monitors.
It's like using matt vs clear type screen protector on your phone.

I think its the anti glare which made the video quality not as good as i expected.

Any good monitor to recommend?

you can try take a look at Dell S2340...
Samsung has some nice ones with glossy screens too.
But seriously, dealing with reflections is PITA

U2414H anti-glare has toned down quite a lot... U can take a look at that.
