Monitor recommendations

Hi all, as I have just upgraded my graphic card to 980 series, just wondering will my current monitor bottleneck the card, or it won't have any difference. I believe my monitor is 720P as max resolution is 1600x900.

I hesitating whether do I need to change a monitor or just use as it is as my old monitor just died off and i had just purchased this 20" monitor last year December.

I think upgrading of PC parts is poisonous as you will keep on looking out for parts to upgrade once you have upgraded 1 part.

I am using this monitor .Bought it at 179 last year . Great monitor.

U can consider monitors on qoo10 , some 27inch very affordable ard 300 like QNIX QX2710 only but no local warranty .

24 is kinda of a perfect size for gaming and normal usage

but ur card is so powerful for 1080p, maybe a 144hz monitor if u like fps games

1600 x 900 is neither 720 nor 1080p. It's HD+, apparently.

if you don't play much fps then try the dell u2515h. 25inch 1440p 5/8ms ips. looks awesome in games and movies. and you can't beat Dell's warranty policy.

Opps didn't know that mine current monitor is not 720p.

So it seems that higher pixels are better than higher Hz from the recommendations? Any big difference (besides higher pxiels loks sharper) if I take a higher pixel 1440P but lower Hz, or higher Hz but at 1080P?

It seems that 1080P should provide smooth gameplay, am tempted to get a 1440P but also concerned on the lagging framerates for future games.

The Dell 23"/24" 1080P seems not bad, but the 25" 1440P also looks great. Any problems with these monitors?

Going higher than 1080p will require a better gpu if u wan maintain enjoyable framerates, preferably close to 60 fps @1440p. What gpu do you have now, or planning to get?

25" 1440p is quite small, tbh. The words will be very small and you will strain your eyes a lot.

For 1440p, it is best to go for 27" and above.

Better off sticking to 24 inch if you wanna get a 1080p monitor.
For 1440p, you should get a 27" as it provides the best screen estate and DPI at that size.

If thats the case, den go try Dell u2715H @$729 which is IT show prices. Not sure if SLS can match, but if can wait, then buy during next it show. U can head down to SLS to recce first.

If you like to play fps (CSGO, battlefield etc) and want high refresh rate can get the Asus VG248QE bout $479 24" 1080p 144Hz monitor, but u need to buy a displayport cable to use the feature, cannot hdmi. Otherwise like they say above get 60Hz 27" 1440p monitor instead.
if low budget can get the 24" 1080p 60Hz dell one above hahaha
