I frequently have the habit of leaving my CPU running overnight so that I can do some work once I wake up, before leaving my home and switching it off. My monitor will also be switched off when I go to sleep.

However, when I wake up, I released that once I switched the monitor on, it will suddenly black out. The monitor is still on, but it is dark.

Is there anything I could check for or any issues suspected?

My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster932B Plus.

Without your rig spec, you can try this:
remove the video cable connection from your desktop end while monitor remain power on, see if no signal or check cable message appear on monitor

If message appear, your monitor is fine.
If no message appear, likely monitor gone up lorry.

The message appear, so the monitor should be fine. So I'm assuming it should be my graphics card then? I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 7800. Been using it since about May 2012.
