Monitor shows no cables connected

I tried both onboard and my graphic card hdmi both showed the same msg on my monitor.

Tried to connect my monitor to my macbook and it can be used as a second monitor. Using the same hdmi cable so problem shouldn’t be with the monitor and cable?

Thought it would be the graphic card but apparently on board also not working.

Anyone with possible solutions or problems?

Mine was a Super old Asus board from Ivan Fortran Long ago
Any advice on how to salvage this? Wanna leave it as a spare com in my house tho

Just in case... tried cleaning and resitting your ram already?

Take out your rams first. Then use an eraser rub both side of the golden contacts. Then retry booting.

How do you check your igpu?

My pc also sometimes have this problem, I plug out and in the gfx again. It works for me.

Ok I’ll try the rams.
The onboard I tried removing my palit then hdmi connect to the on board port, still shows no cable connected.

Take out your rams first. Then use an eraser rub both side of the golden contacts. Then retry booting.

I remove a few times liao. Even tried onboard also no heartbeat

Are you referring to laptop or desktop.
Macbook is laptop as so HDMI connection will be detected as additional monitor that will be able to display as both together.

Whereas desktop may not be the same way as laptop or Macbook in connecting on display to monitor.
The problem may not be both be faulty but > Graphics Card and OnBoard conflict?

You may not be doing the right way as the monitor may still detect the same graphic, either mobo or card, as being connected.
Hence it may give the same msg.

Did you try to use the gpu on another slot, if available.

Is there any updating done recently or not.
Sometimes it could be like Windows Updates may unintentionally corrupt the driver or something.
See if roll-back would helps or not.

Just check physically on the components/connector for any blocking or stuck inside.
Or the pin is missing or bent, something like that.
