There is no SG warranty if you bought it from Taobao. Talk to the seller on Taobao.

to send the item back would need a hundred dollars?
and then to send the item back after repair .... another 50 dollars?

how abt sending to local AOC service centre for repair ... it maybe cheaper to repair here ...

The seller on Taobao cannot get through one. All automated messages. I tried going through their website also but cannot

Psst bro .. dont correct fello locals .. they always thinks buying in Singapore network online .. means protected by Singapore law .. means cheap is always better cause Singapore protects them .. so means the seller will cover the shipping back .. and return with a working set .. and full local warranty too !

1st mistake: buying monitor from overseas
2nd mistake: buying monitor from Taobao
3rd mistake: AOC brand

You want to be cheapskate then prepared to pay the price.

Monitor is like one of the worst to buy online unless the place you bought has excellent customer protection like ebay (official shops preferred).

Bulky, prone to physical damage, high chance of quality issue due to lcd.

I doubt the local distro will bother about him even if he decides to pay. Parts used or parts for local model AOC do differs from the overseas unit, chances are they might turn TS away.

One lesson learn, never ever buy monitors from overseas. It is by far the worse thing to do, big, bulky, prone to poor handling easily damages the monitor. Curved monitors are the worse.

I have a colleague that faces the same issue on korean panels. Ended up being a dead weight as the shipping back to the seller cost more than the monitor itself.

Original seller wont reimburse shipping costs? Is this in general for all taobao sellers?
