Monitor unable to detect output

Hi guys,

I am first time building a pc.
After I assembled it my pc able to boot up without any error sounds pc fan able to spin
Gpu no red error light.

I am using ryzen 7 2700. Hence no on board gpu.

Any way I can troubleshooting to know if what components is faulty?

I have plug in my old pc the monitor and hdmi cable no problem

You plug the HDMI cable to your discrete GPU?

Do list down all parts of your rig. Ryzen 7 2700 is previous generation, new or used one?

Please try with a DP or DVI cable.

I encountered the same problem last week testing a mATX build. No output on a working HDMI cable and monitor. Initially thought it was a dead MB or CPU.

Switched to another monitor and DVI cable and it worked.

It happened when I run my pc for the first time. The problem was there is a problem in my USB slot. So first remove all USB connections (mouse, keyboard). Just plug in the power and monitor cable. And check if it works.

Make sure you plugged in the cable to your GPU and not your motherboard rear i/o

Samsuck EVO 850 SSD 500 GB ( tis 1 working component as it was taken frm previous rig )
Asus RX 580 8GB GPU
650 WATT PSU

yup i plug at gpu since ryzen 7 dont have dedicated graphics

cmos battery remove and plug in back 15 mins later - still cannot see bios

shorted clr cmos - still cannot see bios

removed ssd - still cannot see bios

plug in to tv - still cannot see bios

used only 1 x 8 gb ram - still cannot see bios

tried all ram slot - still cannot see bios
