I cannot imagine sitting in front of such big screen playing wow or any other games, it so huge! I am only using 24' at the moment. Am I missing anything....?

For a 27inch TN panel is just gonna be turned off by the large panel and viewing angle.

ok...then i will go for 23 inch IPS.

final question.....the one to go for is Dell S2340L?
i know it is glossy screen...but i think is small issue.

is it better to get from IT show or SLS ?

i dun have HDMI cable....can just buy any cheap HDMI cable? Or need a gold coated contact one?

Eh you don't have to be that impolite.

Yes I did dig on thread but it's minor.

Anyway, the monitor purpose is for photo editing. Lesser gaming.

If you are using it purely for photo editing, the 4K P2715Q is highly recommended. One spec beside the UHD resolution you might want to take noted of is the color support. This monitor support around 1 billion colors which is much more than the other monitors in your list. I had tried personally and there is really a difference in photo editing in terms of color support.

Downside is that software as of now isn't ready for 4K. Your desktop icons, menus and other stuffs will appear tiny even with scaling. If you can live with it then its ok.

Gloss screen will depends on users. If you have a strong light source at the back of you, it will be irritating.

You can get it from either sls or show. Usually sls if you know how to bargain you could get it at $198. Same as show prices.

For hdmi cable, just get a regular hdmi cable from uf technology in sls.

Thanks...
I went down to SLS today....saw the S2340L....and I couldnt get used to the glossy screen.
I have a laptop with a glossy screen and I dun really like it.

I did some homework and I think most likely going for Acer G237HL.
I went to Mustafa and saw the physical set....unfortunately it is not connected to PC.
It got 3 ports. D-sub/DVI/HDMI and it is matte. IPS screen.
The previous IT show brochure states S$199.
Waiting for next week PC show.:)
