Hi all I need some advice, going for a dual monitor and subsequently three-monitor set-up when I have more $$ to spare. However I'm not so good with these port/cabling stuff so not really sure what works and what doesn't.

Currently using ATI FirePro V4800 (Dual Link DVI and 2 DisplayPort).

So if I want to go for a dual or tri-monitor set-up, do I need to purchase a monitor with DisplayPort as well? I've heard of active DisplayPort to DVI cables too although I'm not entirely sure how they work, but they seem quite expensive.

Is my best option to purchase a monitor with DisplayPort?

And if so, any recommendations for a monitor that supports DisplayPort connectivity? Looking for 22"-27" (preferably 23"), with slim and hopefully flat bezels (no depth between bezel and screen).

Thank you!! :o

Any bro here willing to offer advice? Also, will a DP to HDMI connector work from a PC DisplayPort to a HDMI monitor? Any quality loss or delays etc?

I am currently using this from Lenovo laptop. Laptop has display port and I have the DP to HDMI adaptor through which I connect to HDMI of ASUS Monitor (VG23AH). Works fine including the audio and 3D effect too.
