another thing.. how often do they clean or mop the floor?

do they wear indoor slippers at home?
it might be good for them to wear indoor slippers, good for warmth and foot health (less chance of callus growth)

wearing slippers, the floor is actually easier to "maintain". they can clean/mop the floor lesser.. reducing their workload..
My mom said mop everyday

Yes have wear slippers

sorry to ask
is it really a must to mop the floor every single day? :o

she lives alone? :s11:

if say, to mop the kitchen area at least it's fine as the area quite small
if whole house, can be very tiring to do it almost daily

It is very common for parents to mop everyday.. especially if there are young kids at home.
But I think there is a point where this frequency can be reduced.

The magic clean wiper with 3M cloth or any microfibre cloth will do.

The aluminium wiper is light, use the 3M cloth, it wont leave a pool of water to cause a fall, its easy enough to wring, just fold, roll and wring. Just make sure u dont fold along the thinner parts. I use it both dry and wet. so long flat surfaces, kitchen tiles, bathroom tiles, just different coloured cloths, different areas.

My mom complain wringing the mop strain her hands. She said she need to hold the mop fibers and twist it hard to ensure that it is dry enough.

I was thinking of getting this type that looks similar to those used in commercial environment.

Does this works well?

Or there are better suggestions?

Thanks

TS,

Possible to suggest Steam Mop to your mum?

It's cleaner, doesn't need detergent and dry fast. The steam mop can set amount of steam ejected hence wetness to your mum preference.

I am using one. The price can be <$100 for normal model. Expensive model can be four or five hundreds.

I have used spin mop from 3M and is still using for soaking up major spill. But yes, water fly all over the place when spinning.
