What to do....public healthcare waiting time is longer than queueing for Lady Gaga ticket.
Go private hospital , specialist there sharpened their knives ready for slaughtering.
End of the day, insurance companies paid out high claim to doctors , losing too much money and have to increase premium to sustain for long run.
In this cycle, only the Private doctor win big.
Do note that Class A and B public hospital bill is also very sharp.

Unless government wants to close their Class A and B wards.

I wonder what MOH is thinking ? People already said, as more people downgrade their insurance plans and go for gov subsidies, what is gov going to do next ? Keep increasing heath care budget or start to arbitrarily deny subsidy from more people ?

The reason why private hospital premiums shot up so fast is this. The higher the premium the more unnecessary expenses the insured try to clock up when they visit the hospital with the private doctors as partners in crimes. Once the docs know u r covered, the insurance company is basically on the chopping board.

To avoid this premium spiral i see the insurer try to put a cap on procedures depending on the type of diseases but i am sure the private docs are smart enough to know how to bypass them.

How come everything needs to downgrade? Downgrade private insurance, downgrade private vehicle to public transportation, downgrade from restaurant to hawkers, downgrade from eating chicken to fish.
3rd world to 5th world effect on the go!
