I replaced the frame with mesh but it's damn costly.

For budget, you can go to taobao, if your kind is the sliding window, they have those frames which you can just install onto the rail. But must make sure that your old grilles are not blocking first.

It will surely block a little but not much.
The mesh will get very dusty and dirty very quickly, you can remove to clean if you want.

Overall it is a good upgrade, i haven't seen a mosquitoes since.
I also replaced the main door with mesh door.

If you want to get a decent company to do full replacement, there's this company call DFD, they are the supplier for Xiong door and many. The service is good. I will recommend this if you doing full window replacements but that will set you back at least 8k to be fully stainless steel mesh.

There are Malaysian brands selling in Singapore and are cheaper by 20%, i did that and i regret.
They slaughter you later. After payment come up with many things to upsell and those JHK overpromise a lot.

If afraid of mosquitoes and close the windows, no air flow.

What do you think will be the better option?
Good point.

For my situation, more towards been living without the mesh, occasional trespassing bugs terrifies wife. So its either continue to leave without, or to do something to improve insanity (mine too because her sudden screams are what scares me instead). Then perhaps the other factor to consider is if it severely impacts airflow around home.

I live on a high floor, meshed all my windows and balcony, haven't seen a single mosquito since I meshed my place 3 years ago. It does reduce the amount of wind coming in by quite a lot.

Thanks, during my initial and inadequate research, I chanced upon those that attached via magnetic strips onto grille.

Installed whole house except toilet windows. Effective against big ones but those small tiny flies still able to get in. Wind does reduced but not that bad. Got casement and sliding kind.

If you are with a budget, it works good enough, you need to seal the window in the toilet too.
For main window, you can get add on mesh frames to put at the slides(sliding window). This will be the better way if your frame allows, they will customize for u.

I will use those magnetic ones only for those that can't be fit with the taobao option.

I'm using fully customised stainlesss steel mesh, and it's costly but i open my windows 24/7 now for constant airflow.

I'm staying at a low level, no mosquitoes at all.
