Rule number 1: Ditch the CD that came with motherboard packaging...

Download all latest hardware drivers from their respective vendors (including motherboard support page)...

I had to use the CD for my Asus Z87i Pro if not the inbuilt wifi module can't b detected by Windows.

R the drivers worth downloading? Esp if I'm currently using the iGPU

What i will always do is before buying the board, i will use another working pc or laptop download all the drivers first then put into thumbdrive. From there put it into the PC USB2.0 and load from there.

If one doesn't have another PC, can just install the LAN drivers from the motherboard CD to be able to go on the internet, before downloading the rest of the drivers lor.
