Motherboard reccomendations

Currently I am looking to get a totally new system and I have 2x klevv bolt 3000mhz. Planning to make a ryzen system with the ryzen 5 2600 so I was wondering what mother board should I go for in the mATX/ATX form factor with a budget of around 400 with the CPU. Is there anything particular I need pay attention to?

CPU:ryzen 2600
mobo: undecided
RAM: 2x klevv bolt 8GB 3000mhz
GPU: MSI gaming x 1060ti 6gb
PSU: cooler master MWE 650W
HDD:toshiba 1TB

Motherboard, pay attention to the back IO, see whichever fits your needs and wants.

If can, check some reviews online on the VRM power phases of the board. Some are suited with decent VRM with adequate cooling, some are not.

MSI Gaming Plus model is pretty decent, both in price and performance. So, do consider that.

just dont oc lo then don't have so many issue, pick whichever mb have the ports u wan.. dont need think so much.

i need alot of usb port so i went with ab350m, I dont oc as using the pc for work n gaming.. need 100% stability.

i am not going to OC my cpu so probably something simple will do, ports wise just need 2 usb 3.0 for network adapter and portable hdd and 2 other one for peripherals so should be ok. in this case is the brand important?

then just get the cheapest board will do, no reason to spend more. Low cost board can consider asrock.. i would avoid biostar as its the only brand of MB that failed for the pcs i built.

If you don't oc, then pretty much all Ryzen motherboards will do. However, you plan to use it with your DDR4 3000 ram. The cheapest boards are equipped with A320 chipset, which have compatibility issues with high speed rams at launch. (high speed = anything above 2666) You probably need to update your bios first, before you could go into bios and enable the XMP profile for your ram.

If you buy a motherboard with a newer chipset, like B450, then that would save you the hassle of updating bios, but then it would probably exceed your budget by 40~50.

One solution would be to buy the Ryzen 2600 from Amazon for 230$ shipped. The processor warranty is international, so no worries. Then the leftover $170 could fetch you any B450 board you like from SLS.

hmmm is there a difference between b450 and b350 boards if i plan to use 2600 without the oc? because i am looking at pctheme price list and most of the stuff they offer for msi/gigabyte is b350

iirc its only a few features differences and ofcs with some of the past features upgraded.
