motherboard recommendation pls

Time to change my motherboard. narrowed down to ASUS P8B75-M LX plus or Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V. both are B75 chipset based and has same level of PCIe slots, sata and USB. can anyone recommened which one is better than other by any means. (or any other boards equivalent)

This for a home pc just for browsing and watching movies. (strictly no games) And I got a graphic card too..

B85 is for 4th gen cpu, B75 is for 3rd gen cpu... both wun work if you mix them up.... Best is to list out your parts so that we can help you better...

B85 means changing CPU as well.

I believe you just wanna change Motherboard and not CPU?

Intend to change the motherboard, processor (i3/i5) and the DDR3 RAM too.
My powersupply (a good one), My HDD and the graphic card will remain.

OR

MSI B85M-E33 + i3-4130 (2 Core, 4 Threads 3.4 MHz): $258

Don't need i5/i7 since you not doing gaming or photo/video editing.

Your RAM spoil? Then go for Kingston Value Ram 1600MHz @ 2x4GB bah..
