Motherboard RED LED

Pros please advise,

97% of the time when i boot up now, my motherboard has this red soild led which stats CPU. Fans are all running but it is not booting up.e So I had to keep on and off the rd led jumps to DRAM, and other RED LED, till it finally boots.

I'm now afraid to even restart my com now.

Note* I have RMA my CPU and Motherboard once already because of this but I'm still having this problem.

anyway TS pls put up ur system parts maybe we have more insight to some components have issues in the past as well.

Updated my components on the right.


I understand the RED LED lights on where means where's the issue
but most of the time the red led lights on CPU.

It is always psu, ram, mobo.....n cpu....cpu quite rare though.
Suggest use rubber eraser to rub the gold contacts of the rams n reinsert.
It is a stupid old trick which i myself is skeptical abt.....but 2 times out of 2.....it WORKs!!!

Yeah, its the same issue.

not sure if PSU is causing harm to my mobo and cpu.

but if u remove ram and harddisk
what led is lightup ?

try to narrow down the problem is which one ....


use the bare minimum first to see if can boot to bios

1) cpu and motherboard .... no graphic card no ram no harddisk

2) cpu motherboard + ram

3) cpu motherboard + ram + harddisk

4) cpu motherboard + ram + harddisk + graphic card
