Motherboards - how to evaluate?

Hi! I am making a purchase of a custom PC.

Due to stock issues, they have offer me a replacement motherboard from MSI-B560M-PRO-VDH-WIFI to ASUS-TUF-GAMING-B560M-E.

Just wondering how do you gurus evaluate motherboards usually?

ASUS-TUF-GAMING-B560M-E is a better board than the MSI.
Usually is see the series for example Asus have prime > TUF > STRIX.
MSI wise depends but usually avoid the lowest model like the MSI-B560M-PRO-VDH.

Take note if you are going for that ASUS motherboard and you need WIFI check with them
whether do they have the WIFI model or not.

personally, i feel that one should look for a motherboard that has the feature set one requires, like having more m.2 or usb slots, wifi vs no wifi etc. after that, look at the vrm performance of the board, see if it can handle ur processor when under load. finally is see brand (if can sync with other parts) or aesthetic taste.

i dont really have too much demands for my mobo, so i just look at vrm performance straightaway. if ur ok with the feature set of the tuf gaming b560m, then its a good choice. not only is the vrm decent, it also does not enforce power limits out of the box unlike more budget b560 boards like the pro vdh, which means u shouldnt have to further configure ur board to get the most out of ur cpu.

usually for msi mobo, I only look at MPG MEG Hahaha

Do you need wifi? If not, then just change to Asus. Not because it is much better or anything but do you want to wait?

consider io connectivity, onboard sound chip quality(if using), power delivery if overclocking, m.2 slots and their position on the mobo and if it conflicts with any pcie cards you'll be installing, number of sata etc. some may even look at number of fan headers or the cmos battery placement for ease of troubleshooting or replacement

while looking at that list of it is the pricing base on SG price? and next to it those lower grade is it something like a budget mobo?
