M'sia woman, 34, allegedly cut off boyfriend's genitals with knife after finding out he's married

A 34-year-old Bangladeshi woman was arrested in Johor, Malaysia on Oct. 8 after she allegedly cut off her boyfriend's genitals with a knife.
The alleged attack happened after the woman found out the 33-year-old man was still legally married to his wife in Bangladesh, local police told
Malaysian media.
The victim was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
Incident likely motivated by jealousy: Police
Iskandar Puteri assistant commissioner M. Kumarasan said that a police report was lodged on Oct. 8 at around 10:45am by a Malaysian man,
New Straits Times reported.
The complainant said his acquaintance, a 33-year-old Bangladeshi man, suffered injuries to his genitals and left hand after his girlfriend allegedly attacked him in Gelang Patah, Johor.
Police arrested the 34-year-old woman at 12:15pm the same day.
"Investigations show the incident was motivated by jealousy after the suspect discovered that her boyfriend had not yet divorced his wife in Bangladesh despite being in a relationship with her," Kumarasan said.
Victim taken to hospital for treatment
The victim was taken to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru for treatment,

Kumarasan said that police seized a 29-cm long knife believed to have been used in the attack,
Bernama reported.
Kumarasan added that the suspect has no criminal record and tested negative for drugs.
She will be remanded for five days, until Oct. 13.
The case is being investigated for causing grievous hurt with a weapon, and entering and staying Malaysia without a valid permit.
