A married couple has been sentenced for their assault on a man during a drunken dispute, where the husband punched the man unconscious before kicking and stomping on him, while the wife joined in by kicking the man repeatedly.

Poh Guan Jun, 30, was jailed five months and two weeks, while his wife Sherlyn Loh Shin Hwee, 30, was fined $1,200 on Oct 7.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the assault took place at 3.22am on Jan 19 at the lift lobby on the fourth floor of Orchard Plaza.

The victim is back in Singapore for his winter break from University in UK.
