Some are saying that mashing the green up to date checkmark repeatedly MIGHT initiate the update. No harm trying.
Not a joke... Mash the green "Up to date" arrow to get the new update immediately, if it hasn't been rolled out to you! (Thanks to /u/mikochu) : AndroidWear

Spamming the green screen didn't work for me.

Guys can try this......follow steps exactly....it worked for me.

Tip: Still waiting on 4.4w.2? Resetting your watch can help push along a pending Android Wear update if it's your turn in the staged rollouts. (With video proof for the guy that argued that I was wrong) : moto360

did it about three times before it worked. hehe....and remember to keep the battery above 80%

But this worked for me on the 2nd try! Downloading now. But battery at 39%. So need to charge before the update can be completed. :)

It does improve battery life and also does not seem to have the up and down effect of battery % on the charger. This is my experience so far.
I use to experience it charging up to 100% and then may start to discharge down. Now it stays at 100% when left on charger.

This is quite consistent to what I'm experiencing today. Seems that the battery drain is slightly more after the update. But the I do get more notification today too. Will monitor a few more days to confirm.

Isn't this the update that was just pushed to us? You can now pair with a Bluetooth headset and also do offline music listening via Google Music on the watch (but drains lots of battery). It's just that this watch doesn't have a dedicated GPS sensor like the Sony one.

I am confused now. Isn't that the firmware by Motorola? AW updates by Google? :s22:

Edit: OK, I understand liao. Never read properly

Did you start with 100% at 7am?
A little difficult to say if that's good/bad better/worse, depends on what you were experiencing before the update. I havent got the update but I get 50% draw down of the battery after 12 hrs, but thats on a day when not much happens

I remove it from the charging station at 7am and saw a prompt to update the firmware. Battery drops to about 90 after the update. I do find that battery drain is more when you have Google Now enabled in Android wear. I have disabled it since I don't use it that much.

By google now enabled do you mean checking the "show calender event cards"?

I meant totally disabling Google Now on the phone. There's also an area in the Andoird Wear app that you could turn off Google Now.

Now I always see "OK Google" when I lift my wrist up. Not sure due to update or due to resetting the watch yesterday. Last time the OK Google will disappear after a while..

It's caused by the reset. Just say Ok Google to the watch, then do a search via voice. It'll disappear after that.
