IMO, its not worth it to get the official metal band version (extra USD$50 over leather edition or extra USD$80 stand alone band only)

There are some reviews on the metal band already, although it could prevent the plastic back cover from cracking, the plastic adapters are also weak and could break.
The linkage from the band (wide) to the watch (narrow) isn't well designed; makes it look incomplete.

Rather spend less ~USD$20 to get third party metal/leather bands that looks better and will not crack the plastic back cover. Or get the excellent quality Super Engineer I/II metal bands which is of almost the same price of the OEM metal band.

I second this. Initially, I wanted to get the official metal band, but decided against it after seeing the cracked plastic adaptors such as this:

So I'll just patiently wait for my stainless steel adaptor from Steelconnect. :)

Quick question, when you all use facer does your battery drains faster?

Mine does so that is why I am asking LOL!

It depends on the watchface but yes, Facer drains more battery than the default Moto watchfaces. But the drain isn't that significant for me.

I got my official metal strap on Tuesday, then went to a local watch shop to get it changed for $10. Looks good, feels good. The plastic spacers are the only thing I really dislike about it though, why they cheapen out on this?

Search HWZ Electronic Bazaar to see if anyone is selling it. Can try Lazada SG too. Do note that all these options do not come with local warranty, since the watch hasn't been officially launched in Singapore.

Or just order from Amazon / BestBuy (through Comgateway).

Anyone having an issue with whatsapp whereby replying through the watch while the phone is in standby mode will result in "can't reach Google at the moment" error?

It will only successfully reply if the phone screen is on. :(

Also, I'm intermittently experiencing notifications not showing up at the watch at all and I have to restart the watch in order to start receiving notifications again. Just wanna check if it is more of a android wear issue or is it my phone.

I'm using HTC One M8. Im wondering if it is a problem with the watch. Because since my last post, I have to restart my watch 3 times because I stop receiving any notifications. I haven never encountered such problems with my old pebble watch
