MP3 on itunes can sync to iphone?

I need some help guys. I added some mp3 i downloaded off the net into my itunes library. But somehow I cannot get them to sync into my iphone's imusic.

Anyone can assist? I tried googling to no avail. On my itunes the symbol beside the mp3 is that of a dotted cloud that means "waiting", whatever that means.

i havent been using itunes for a while, are you able to screen shot the icon?
