Hi guys want to check with you for the Z87 maximus Gene VI. do i need to buy a wireless network card in order to use wifi on the MOBO?

hi bro but i read somewhere that you need to put the wireless card into the mpcie combo to have wifi?

Oh you mean you wanna know whether the mpcie combo needs an wireless card ar?

If so yes. You need a wireless card to add into the mpcie combo.

At first i thought you are asking for the mpcie combo only. My bad. mpcie combo is included with the mobo. But the wifi card still need to purchase it seperately.

the weird thing is if i'm not wrong they dun sell it in Singapore.
I asked someone from BL he replied my PM say they dun have it.

But from what i do know is that the Mpcie combo has a slot to connect wireless lan card. but i am not sure if the package provides any antenna.


Any bros out there using the maximus gene can enlighten me.

When you buy the wireless mpcie it has an antenna output.

bro this is the cable i talking about they call it the rp-sma cable.

I check out alot of unboxing they dont seem to include this cable.
