technically u no need do reservist
but still need to hold your barang until u reach statutory age of Ex NS (40 or 50, depending on you is officer or not)

i MRed 37 still need to hold my barang until 40 when comes to end of FY 2022

If you want to throw, can dispose the stuff at some designated army camps or safra, there's some big bin for you to throw away properly and legally.

Can actually dispose of the old equipment and uniform. In any cases of activation of MR personnel, you will be issued with new equipment
