MR ceremony cancelled

Hi all

i was suppose to report to AFS for MR ceremony in mar but now they send me another notification to inform me that it was cancelled.

No reason was given for the cancellation and was wondering if this will affect my MR ?

Anyone else in the same situation as me ?

Well, if you have been following the news, you should probably be able to figure out why they cancel such ceremony.

If you skip the ceremony, do you MR?



As long as you meet the criteria to complete your NSMen service, you will MR, whether you go for the ceremony or not.


In this case, your ceremony is probably cancelled for obvious reasons...

My unit encik told me they can mail the watch and cert. no need attend simi MR. that one just for memory sake. Dont know how true. My ICT in two weeks time

I rather save the trip to the camp just to attend some ceremony. As long one have fulfilled their obligations it doesn't matter.



But on the other hand, don't you want to meet up your camp mates for one LAST time. There won't be any chances like this again. Speaking from personal experience i have seen tough ICT mates crying during after the MR ceremony knowing that that will be his last time seeing those NS/ICT mates who have been with them since the beginning.
