i just came back from europe work trip. i takes me 10 mins to drive from hotel to work place, pretty much 10+km and straight line.

in sg, that would have been a 40mins public transport trip, since it is never a straight line and multiple stops.

not to mention that people there starts work at 9am, ends at 4pm.
