MSI B450 Tomahawk Max long boot time?

From what I’m searching online, it seems this mobo is extremely slow when it comes to booting. My old b150m mobo can boot to Windows in 5 secs, but this tomahawk max can take 40 secs. Even takes the time to show me a POST screen with my list of drives which I don’t even need. BIOS doesn’t seem to have a fast boot option either?

Anyone facing this issue?

My tomahawk takes abt 15sec , win10 + nvme ssd . The 40sec is impossible unless using hdd . Btw any cheap mobo with ssd also can boot in 10-20sec if ur pc got nothing wrong

Slow boot time if you have a lot of connected drives, be it SSD or HDD as the OS will read these drives during windows loading.

Nope didn’t fresh install windows. I’ve updated bios to the latest version and made some changes in bios. Boot time about 20 secs.. still not used to this speed because it used to be almost instantaneous on my b150m. Maybe it’ll be better once I migrate my OS over to my nvme ssd

15-20s sounds about right. Ryzen somehow boot slower than Intel system. Hopefully future bios can correct this
