Hi bros,

Was trying to find out if a MSI B85-G41 pc mate mobo can output sound to logitech Z623 speakers without sound card.

Amazon.com: Logitech Speaker System Z623: Electronics

However, on the MSI MOBO's webpage, they only listed audio output as 3 rear ports. The Z623 comes with 3.5 mm audio input cable and Speaker connector cables. So will I be able to connect the Z623 to the MSI MOBO and have sound played successfully?

Thanks!

That is just a 2.1 speakers.

It definitely can connect at the green port.

I see!

So when MSI says 3 rear audio ports on the MOBO it's the standard green, pink and blue ports?

2.1 system means only 1 wire connecting to the green port (front speakers/headphone)?

Yes 2.1 is only 1 3.5mm jack to connect it at the rear IO.
