Hahaz, I wish I could offer you that, but as of now.. no news of any trade-in program :)

haruko, how does the msi u123 match up against the asus 1005HA?i can't decide which one to get!

Build wise, the U123 is more solid and resistant wheras the 1005HA is slightly slimmer thus compromising a lil at the lcd bezel area, you got to be careful when you bring it around. Most slim devices and gadgets tend to be more fragile, but perhaps not that bad la.. Just comparing...
Bundle value wise, U123 wins hands down.. You get an optical mouse, premium sleeve case, screen wiper in the package and a free 2gb ram upgrade..
Battery life wise, the 1005HA may lead by abt 2-2.5hrs, all dependent on user settings though...
Price wise, as based on current promo, again the U123 wins hand down... :)

Other than these, it all boils down to your personal preference.

Correction:

A couple family members want this also. Looking at 3 (three) and possible another unit total up to 4 (four) MSI Wind U123H: Black, Red, Grey/White colors. Local warranty, new (preferably sealed) set with the usual freebies and upgrade 2GB.

Better if can top-up to get 9-cell battery instead of purchasing it separately and end up with two battery.

PM me your _best_ price. I'll also go to SLS tomorrow to hunt the best deal.

Noted with thanks.

Btw, for U123, grey is the black. Its with this graphite grey lid cover, wheras the rest of the parts are all black in colour.

I am in interested in getting the MSI U123 but after reading reviews on it, am not quite sure if I should be getting the MSI U 123. They mentioned that the speakers is too soft and you hardly hear the speakers properly. The trackpad is not synaptics based, giving problems to mouse control. wonder those who bought MSI 123 can share if they encounter such problems? And wonder if the models coming to Singapore have improvements that solve the above two problems ?

Hmm, the above findings were based on different reviews that had the same conclusions? So far, I haven't had any complaints from my customers who bought the U123.

well, i don't quite believe in reviews, I believe in what users experienced. What I gather from the msi wind official forum at forums.msiwind.net is the sound is so bad that those ppl hack and mod the speakers to make it sounds audible, see forums.msiwind.net/hacks-and-mods/. It's just a point to note to share with fellow netbook hunters.
