Did you install anti virus first before install msn ?

Try to uninstall anti virus first and then install msn.
nope.. din install the anti-virus yet (still deciding whether to load the Norton given or to use the free AVG).. tried installing the Live Messenger for 3 -4 times.. still doesn't allow me to install..

That's strange, I managed to install it on the first try. Did the installation fail halfway or did it prompt you to do a windows update first?

Anyway, ditch norton and get AVG free instead.

I make a mistake when i try to upgrade to ie7 myself while the window update itself, i cancel the windown update

window update also install msn if im correct, i also cancel it.

after i install live messenger myself and start to have problem.

live messenger wont log in itself after i bootup.

I uninstall live messenger and reinstall problem still the same.

Then decided to remove ie7 and messenger all together, uninstall avg 8

reinstall firefox 3, install live messgener, and install avg 8 free.

everything back to normal

Going up to 320GB? :) What HDD are you planning to use, anyway? Try one that's efficient, like the WD Scorpio that comes with the Wind. It'll do wonders for your battery life :).

hmmmmm........o_O

Hi Corbell, will you be able to do a HDD Swap as well? Please let me know. THanks!

2 of our users have bought 320GB HDD themselves from SLS and we install for them for a small fee, plus continue to warranty the rest of the Wind's components. :)

1) User buy the HDD (w/ warranty card) from SLS shops.
2) We installed the new HDD into Wind. The old 80GB is theirs to keep.
3) Anytime the installed HDD got problem, we will help them to take out the HDD and user will RMA the HDD on their own. We'll fix it back after they receive their replaced/repaired HDD. This service is free for the 1st year. After 1 year, if there is a need to RMA the HDD again, small service charge would apply. :)

Great news, Just curious, whats the fee like to have a 160GB or a 320GB HD installed by you guys?

Till now I havent get an official reply for self-upgrading.

If really void warranty then no choice liao :D

Yeah they will upgrade the ram for only $35, thats cheap what. Actually, when i was there with my pinky previously, it was upgraded by the vendor that sold me. Corbell even offer to paste a sticker over the hole, to warranty the book. :s13:

Yes, $35 for 1GB is bery cheap, almost cost to cost liao. :o (Corsair some more).
We should have sold at $79 for 1GB. ;)

I just did the same install after reading the issues Kentang had. It installed right from the first attempt. What Anti-Virus software you are using? could it be the issue? I was using AVast.

Thanks Corbell! Most probably the HDD from my current MacBook Pro will go inside there.
