Just adding on; notebook review did a simple performance test on the MSI Wind comparing between XP and Vista, and Vista showed better performance:

http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4505

Using Battery Eater, Power Saver profile with LCD lowest brightness + Wifi on + Bluetooth off, I got 4:53 hours on Vista. I'll do the Balanced and High Performance profile tests later.

hows performance of vista on msi wind?

i read from other forums that its very slow

Was wondering. Did anyone change their Wifi Card? I've got a brand new and sealed Dell 1490, I was thinking, is it necessary to change? Considering that I'm already having the newest of the 3 Wifi Stock cards, detection of connections seems good and stable, only this is that I get max at 54mb max, which is normal right? Or are people getting 130mb or so with different wifi cards?

how to restore with the F3 button ?

what does it do ?

After the start-up screen with the word MSI in the centre (Also the screen where you either Press F11 or Del to go into setup screen), you'll see a black screen with nothing except "F3...".

At this screen, when you press F3, what happens is that it will ask you if you would like to reformat the computer (or somewhere along that lines), if you choose to do it, the Wind will auto reformat your computer and restore it to the most original form, which would be out of the box. Its like as you you just reinstalled windows.

Btw, anyone looking to get a travel charger for their MSI Wind?

I ordered one online and its arriving probably within a week. But here's the thing, I accidentally ordered 2 instead of 1 due to some screwed up error that said my 1st order was cancelled. So I did the 2nd order, but when I checked my e-mail, apparently, the 1st order went through as well! So now I have ordered 2!

I've already e-mailed the person in charge to clarify this and check if I can cancel either one of my orders, but in the situation that I can't, I'm going to sell off one of them! So anyone interested?

This is the one: MSI Wind Travel Charger

Also have review for this particular charger: lee262online MSI Wind Travel Charger Review

Please let me know. I'll let go cheaper if I'm really desperate, if you're nice, you can just pay me the same price as getting it yourself. =DDD
