Hi,

I just bought 2 set of MSI Wind with my friend over last weekend. We noticed that the wireless issue encountered by user of the first batch is still there. Anyway to solve this problem? I tested on my other AMD notebook i am able to transfer a 15GB file without dropping any connection in another room. Where else on this MSI Wind it dropped the connection after like 2 file is transferred.

I placed the AMD notebook further from my home Linksys router then the MSI Wind while performing this test.

Edit : I have updated BIOS to 1.09 and updated driver recommended by doody in msiwind forums. (Ralink 2700E)

Corbell.

Any suggestion with my problem?

just tried transferring the 15G file. failed after 5 mins again.

the connection is not persistant.

i suggest you find out the hardware, the WLAN card b/g/n and download it's new driver again.

btw, i dun think the broken pin it's a default problem, more likely when someone open the back to add in RAM, resulting in the broken pin, just speculation

Hi all,

I bought my MSI Wind U100 at Sitex, I fully charge the battery(6 cell), but always reflect 5hours for full charge, I thought should be 6-8hours?

Do I need to set anything?

Hi bro.

MSI has a few battery suppliers.
All our Singapore batch has to break the plastic catch so that it can use both 3 & 6 cell batteries.
There is no problem with Wind lah. Don't worry. :)

5-7 was placed in the above picture advertisement. for MSI

6-8 was for Asus ee1000h which have a 6600mAh

manufactured may tend to over exaggerate their rate ... so you most probably will be able to get 7hrs if you turn wireless off and the LED screen brightness to the minimum, till you need some touchlight...

yup.

Corbell, no issue then, i am assured, thanks alot.

Hihi this 15GB file is from my other PC.....

I was doing the transfer from PC to Wind on my home Linksys router.

Hi.

I'm transferring a 19GB file from my notebook to my Wind starting at 2.40pm and till now, still downloading and never drop line. :)

BTW, I haven't updated the new bios (1.06) and driver (Aug) yet. My router is Linksys WAG200G.
