I have intention to get a U100 initially but seems like there are quite a few negative feedbacks regarding this MSI netbook.

I understand that the price for this is around 599 with some promotion freebies so what other better choices for this budget or should I stick to a U100 and get it during the IT show in March.

Thanks

I had already on the webcam using the "Fn F6" and it shows that the webcam is on. but when i use the pre-loaded software to test it, it show that unable to connect to webcam/webcam not found.

Hi, my U100plus also has this click some about every 30minutes. Any more users experience this click sound? Quite irritating.

No issues on this one, it's normal cos all my friends' set also like that.

Those having wifi problem for msi wind can try this for their wifi problem.
This problem has been highlighted on the forum i think before.

From the start menu: You need to go into Control Panel -> click on the icon "System" -> click on the "Hardware" Tab -> click on "Device Manager" button -> Open the "Network Adapters" from the list -> Click on "802.11bgn 1T2R Mini Card Wireless Adapter -> Click on the "Advanced" Tab

This is a very nice card in that it has a great deal of features. There are a slew of powersaving features and unfortuneately one seems to be incompatible with the Wind. Once the card goes off the MSI cannot turn it back on without a reboot. So do the following to disable the power saving features...

AC_BE support APSD - choose Disable
AC_BK support APSD - choose Disable
AC_VI support APSD - choose Disable
AC_VO support APSD - choose Disable

CAM - stands for Constant Awake Mode which is what we want so do the following....

CAM when AC Power - choose Enable
Power saving Mode - choose CAM

Hope that helps!

If I were to vga output from U100plus to LCD widescreen monitor, will the display quality be too bad? Intend to buy a widescreen LCD monitor... Any advice?

Our technician had tried before with 19",the display quality is acceptable.

If larger screen, the quality will not be as good.

Also, the network card shown on my device manager is 802.11bgn 1T1R Mini Card Wireless Adapter. Is there any difference from the 1T2R?

Mine is the MSI u200
