Maybe consider gaming pro carbon this time?
There have been quite a fair bit of changes on MSI product naming & feature segregation.
M5/M7 series mainly based on Killer Lan
Gaming Pro, Intel Lan
Aside the LED features and layout.

How about Z370M Gaming for mATX build?

After their holidays.
Mid Oct will be in.(hopefully)
But it's with the Intel AC-8265 wifi version.

Looking for a black and red theme for my next build. The gaming plus looks good and aint expensive. Gotta wait for more review on this.

Gaming Plus is basic no frills style.
Simple board, 4 SATA ports, single M.2.
Uses ALC892 for audio and an Intel 219V for lan.
A couple of USB ports with display I/O bordering for legacy devices(D-Sub, DVI & DP )

Killer LAN more for gamers who wish to have better ping times but in reality really depends on your internet. I say get a Killer based one as there might be routers supporting Killer Based PCs such as the new Linksys WRT32X which has been reviewed to work extremely well with Killer based PCs. Also, many mobo manufacturers are implementing Killer LANS on their mid-high end boards so that should be quite telling.

You mean standalone wifi?
Yes, you can buy any 3rd party wifi dongle and use on your board.

As for difference, in the past many complaints on the Killer s/w.
After un-installing, it's was ok.
But that was in 2014/15.
They were promoting on the Killer s/w before as being able to prioritise your usage. So you'll have better speeds for online gaming while d/ling stuff.
But when the s/w was taken out of the equation, it was just another medium for network to me.
Anyway, that's just me.

Should be close to the ATX wifi version.
(Lower but I don't have the price yet)

Price also awfully...... indescribable....

I believe it's possible as it's essentially just a PCIe 1x slot.
I'll try and update again.

Ordered long ago but they have no production completion date so far.

Our competitor is using AC-3165 only. 1x1 TX/RX streams @ max speed of 433mbps only.

Yes, it's available for redemption.
Definitely need serial no. cut out and copy of the receipt.
(Sop otherwise the redemption center has no proof, they cannot answer to msi)
