You need to first see a doc then get the pills from the pharmacist.

really meh? i thought of eating pill and get oxygen

as mentioned by others, it really depends on individuals. some ppl feel the effect more, others dun get it at all.

impt thing is not to over push urself. mild symptoms like headache u still can rest and proceed if u feel better. but if start vomiting, then dun go further already.

also note that for the pill, u need to start taking before the climb and not when u experience symptoms. it is no use to take only when u experience symptoms.

I got a prescription at my GP and had the prescription filled at Guardian Pharmacy. If the outlet doesn't have stock, ask them which GUARDIAN outlet has the medicine. Their systems are all connected backend.

My first mountain hike last August.
5th - 8.5th Station lodge in 4 hours and arrived at 2pm.
I experienced very very mild headache & didn't take medication.
An elderly lady was breathless at the lodge & put on oxygen machine.
Slept at 8 pm till midnight after a 5pm dinner .
The long rest & good rest at 8.5th lodge helped me.
Queued up for a slow climb at 1am +.
'Ran down' in 2 hours at 6 am .
