I just watched it this afternoon.

Very good detective movie like in the golden age of cinema... think Casablanca.

Story is gripping and TOP notch.
Reminds me of a Kindaichi type of detective movie .

Plenty of twists and turns .
You will never Guess who the Murderer is .....

... since the thread opener mentioned past golden productions... are we sure that he didn't mean the original, 1974 version of Murder on the Orient Express?
which, btw, was a great critical and commercial success that year (big names in the cast too)

Which version are you referring to? The old one is the best, new one too slow, even though the cast is excellent
