YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL

You have a Guardian Angel
Who watches over you -
Everywhere you go
And everything you do.

This gentle, silent helper
Is there to be your guide
To shelter and protect you,
And for you to walk beside.

Your Angel will always help you
Whenever things go wrong,
They'll be the wings beneath your feet
As Life's path you walk along.

Feel this calming presence -
Be enfolded by its love
And let your life be guided
By a power from above.

THE MILLENNIUM

When man will treat his fellow man
As man should treat his neighbor,
Then every man will have in full
The product of his labor.

When man will gladly recognize
In every man a brother,
Then will he scorn to live upon
The labor of another.

When man depends upon himself,
With nothing to inherit.
Then every man will stand or fall
According to his merit.

Then every new device would aid
And not retard the plan,
And every new invention be
A benefit to man.

There's nothing standing in the way
Except our inner blindness;
And if this inner man should wake,
'Twould flood the world with kindness.

And if it's free we wish to be,
And safe within his keeping,
Then we should wake the king within
For he is only sleeping.

The carnal man is on the throne;
He's but a false aspirant;
As long as man will give him sway,
He'll rule him like a tyrant.

This carnal man is robbed and crowned,
Demands a princely dower;
'Tis time that man should call a halt,
Deprive him of his power.

The inner man should be the king,
And he should wear the crown.
The king's within, he must be heard;
He can not, will not, down!

One road to the Millennium —
There is but one, my brother;
Tis founded on unselfish love,
The joy you give another.

19TH SEPTEMBER 2019

1. My Chinese kampung childhood best friend, we met up in 2010 in Singapore. We had lost contact for many decades after my family had moved to the HDB housing estate in mid 70s. Then by chance we met again in a forum in late 2000s. After we had chatted about our present lives and old time childhood stories, then he told me that he had a drowning accident while diving in Sabah. His friends that went with him on that diving trip told him that when they pulled him out from the water, he has no signs of breathing, no heart beats and no pulse. He was practical dead. Then he came back to life again after afew minutes.

He told me that when he was on the other side, all the people he knew in his life (including me), he could feel every single feelings they felt about him. It was like he felt he was in them. He didn't know where he was but he knew he was like still alive and he saw nothing. He couldn't describe the place. No darkness nor light but like a space while he was over there. And then he said that after he came back to life again he could actually feel other people feelings about him still.

2. Now about the other Chinese friend of mine. I was not there when he started vomiting continuously, then collapsed and became unconscious. He had stopped breathing for few minutes and practically he was dead. They called the ambulance. It happened in late 90s I think. One of my friend who was with him when that incidence took place told me what he heard from him.

While during that period when he was over the other side, he didn't know where he was. He saw nothing but he felt as though he was spirally going down to somewhere. And he felt there were like so many people around him while he was going down.

When he came back to life again he was like speechless and stunt. The ambulance arrived after a few minutes he came back to life again. He couldn't speak for about an hour.

3. Sometime back in 1999 I think, a Malay friend of mine had narrated about his six year old sister who had fallen out from the HDB room window from the seventh floor. He was with her before the incidence. He left her alone in that room for a few minutes. Then when he returned to the room she was not there. He noticed the room window grilled was opened. He quickly went to the window and saw his sister was lying on the ground floor. He immediately rushed down to the ground floor. He rushed to his sister and she was still barely conscious. Then she spoke to him, "Tell mother not to worry about me. I'm not alone. There's someone with me." Then she became unconscious and died in his arms. When my friend told me that story of his sister, he was crying continuously for a long time. I felt sorry for his lost.

As for myself, the closest I came near death was in 1986 I think while driving in Malaysia. I was driving rather fast and then I saw a bend in front of me. I didn't see that bend. It was too late for me to jam on the brake to slow down. So I just controlled the steering wheel as best as I could and I thought my car was like going to overturn at the bend, crashed and I would be killed. During that moment at the bend this was my experience. I saw in front of me, every things and movement slowed down like a slow motion movie. Then when the car was back on the straight road after the bend, the slow motion disappeared and it was back to normal again.

On the 19th of September 2019 around 2 am plus, I had posted in the forum about one of my kampung Chinese childhood best friend (a Christian) and another Chinese friend (a Buddhist) who had near death experience.

On the same day about 1 pm plus I had a discussion with someone within a forum about the Soul and Death.

On the same day about 8 pm plus while at work, I had received a message from a close childhood friend that one of our childhood friend had passed on due to a heart attack in the early morning on the 19th of September 2019. He had messaged me after the burial was completed around 6 pm. It was a shocking and sad news for me. The belated childhood friend was a good and kind man. He was two years younger than me. May he rest in peace.

I was quiet and silently looking at what this meant to me during work, on the way home on the 19th of September 2019 and now too.

We are all here now, living our lives and we all know too that we will die one day. We do not know when it is going to happen to us. It may happen at old age or soon. We do not know. It can happen to all of us at anytime.

Whatever our belief in this life, when death comes upon us, are we willing and ready to let go of this life peacefully?

Myself sincerely I will say, "I'm not sure. I don't know."

I do not know how many years left I have to live in this world. In the meantime, I will try to be a good man and better man.
