Their prices quite cheap leh. Not sure hw they do it lol

Parallel importer supplies them with consignment goods. NTUC, giant, robinsons metro, all same modus operandi lah.

Certain brands have regional distributor rights and can only get from them otherwise illegal. Certain brands do not. The same applies for certain products as well. But I think perfumes and luxury bags do not fall under this law. Cars also do not.

the stocks that mustafa are selling are all direct from the official distributor (can see the distributor stickers on the boxes).
shops at lucky plaza/chinatown do carry stocks from the official distributors iirc, but they do parallel import as well.

anyway, the cost to produce a perfume at the lab is extremely low, (e.g. a recently released mid-range designer brand that's about 2 years old) heard its about less then $20 for a KG of the formula before its even diluted with alcohol

Shops in lucky plaza may or may not be selling the real stuff.
They just take from wherever cheaper, don't really check on the sauce.

My friend used to work for a luxury brand which every year they have a certain budget for buying their products at cheap price or free, can't remember.

So what they do is they hoot perfume and sell them to lucky plaza shops.

Those shops just see cheap, then they buy, never really check.

I believe mustafa also similar, they never really bother about the source, they just hoot from whoever give them cheap.

I bought a few bottles of mustafa before, like very old stock, smell not as strong already. Bottle looks legit thou.

Sometime, when the price is too low, they are actually samples....you know those put in shops let people try try huan?

You think they open new package for tester ah?

It is a watered down version...

These samples does make it out on the market...

samples/testers are usually stronger than the ones for sale, they are not watered down version.

basic marketing... will using a stronger scent entice pple to buy or a watered down version?

for perfume, i rather buy sample/tester if there are any for sale cos they are stronger n much cheaper.

mustafa doesnt really stock any old stuff nowadays. will only see the more recent releases for designer brands.
warehouse sale prices are even cheaper than what u can get outside.. (for those ppl who think that mustafa prices are low :s13:)

Ive bought loads of perfume from them and they are actually from the official distributors. There's a sticker on the box if you look. They also paralell import and sell dirt cheap. So the only thing that's affected is their profit per perfume bottle. But dam, looking at the amount they sell...

They've got some htf frags. That's why I love buying from them. Jasina at high street is another good place. Another place I discovered is an old shop at Bencoolen if you want NOS of original frags.

If they sell fake perfume, those Indian tourists would have threaten to sue them.

Just purchased a box of Mont Blanc Legend Homme 100ml from Mustafa this morning. Now I am questioning the authenticity of it. The packaging and code seem different from most MB Leged
