MXM for the future

Hi guys, just thinking out loud, what are your opinions on MXM 3.0b GPUs still being used for Nvidia's 2016 roll out of Pascal? With the release of GTX 980 using a different form factor but the same MXM 3.0b connection, will future mobile graphics (i.e. Pascal) follow the GTX 980 or GTX 980M form factor?
