Ah ****, my bad! seems like I got confused with the resolution. Haha! After reading the forum, seems like Acer nitro VG271UP is popular around here.

Are there any 1440p ultrawide 21:9 monitor to recommend?

Well if you’re looking for the best at this point of time with future proofing for the next few years, you may opt for either Acer Predator X34P or Alienware AW3418DW. These are the best 1440p ultra wide monitors with IPS screen and highest refresh rate (120hz) at present. Can easily last you till you upgrade your GPU subsequently. There isn’t any upcoming ultra wide monitors announced for this year or next with higher refresh rates as far as I am aware.

any budget you have to stick with?

Acer X34 & ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q are pretty good choices, but they will definitely cost you some $

for your setup, i do not think you can play any recent AAA titles on 21:9 1440p @ 60hz at decent settings. You may need to lower the settings significantly for a smooth gameplay.

Wah sounds good leh, pm me the price!

Another question is..

WHAT IF, after changing to 1440p, my fps drop too much, I decide to play on 1080p on a 1440p monitor, will there be a drastic blur problem?

😭. I dam scared my fps will drop until rabak haha!

What will happen if I play 1080p games on 1440p monitor? 🤔

Ahh . That's what I'm worried about.

APEX LEGEND, MHW, not considered AAA titles right? 🤔

They are. Along with Witcher 3, Farcry 5, GRW, Destiny 2, GTA V and so on. Any large game that is very demanding on the CPU + GPU is considered a AAA title.

The 1070ti you currently have may be able to hit 50+ fps at 1440p on newer titles, but definitely not above 60. I'd say 40+ is comfortable, any less is bad.

Maybe reduce the setting Abit to hit 60fps or higher loh.. need sacrifice here and there haha

it also depends on wad kind of gamer you are. I'm not competitive and i do not excessively play FPS. I just seek to play any game at 1440p, maxed out @ 60 fps. For that, my pc specs is suitable. Even then some games lag a little (~55-60) (such as wildlands and witcher 3).

If you have decided on going 1440p ultra wide then just go ahead and buy a good monitor now since you should be aiming to upgrade your gpu next. No point spending 4-500 to get a 1080p monitor now to accommodate your present gpu.

That was my case as well. Was using a gtx 1080 prior to my current gpu and I could barely do 60fps on AAA titles without compromising on graphics. Now I am still using a monitor bought 2-3 years ago and the rtx 2080 ti is just about able to hit my screen’s max refresh rate on max settings for nearly all games. Conclusion, if you decided to buy a good ultrawide monitor, just go ahead and buy and upgrade gpu thereafter.

So I kinda decided on either x34p and z35p

They difference between both are just the panel and price?

X34P is IPS panel priced at around 1100..?

Z35P is VA panel priced at around 1000..?

Any thoughts about how I can make a decision within this two? 😭😭 In real dilemma haha!

Any reviews about these monitors is appreciated!!
