Personally, I change phones very frequently and switches between iOS and Android devices. For iOS, I used to like it a lot and also spent a lot on their ecosystem. However over the years starting from iOS 11, the OS is starting to get quite annoying, i.e. it will always auto enable Bluetooth and Wifi citing for best experience. It's like this my usage style, why dictate how the software works for me? It is not as if the battery is super durable and switching off features that I don't use to conserve battery makes sense. So I have been staying away from iOS opting to only keep my iPad Pro.
For Android, I've avoided them for quite sometime since used to be hardly any good alternative to the dominant Samsung. I've used a few Samsung Galaxy phones before and had very poor experience with their products. I've also switched to LG and Sony before and the software updates are as rare as shark's toe nails. The first time I decided to take a plunge to try out Huawei, I was actually pleasantly surprise at the quality of the Mate 10 Pro and their after sales software support. While people still complain that it is slow, but I believe I did mentioned, as compared to my wife's Samsung S8, the software updates I got on my Huawei phone is easily 6 - 7 : 1 time on Samsung. There are some quirks here and there (like missing notification, though it can be managed manually in the settings), but I can live with it. Speed is consistently fast after using my M10 Pro for more than a year now and battery life is still decent (Approx 2 days based on my usage). Looking forward to see the new P30 series.
