I have been learning Korean for the past 6 months by myself and While there is plenty of information online, It sort of wore me out pretty quickly as I was drowned in too much content with no clear direction on what to do next which leads to procrastination resulting in me forgetting whatever I have learned previously and having to repeat everything all over again. So I guess having a controlled environment, like a classroom setting, where I set a certain date and time to just study Korean helps me to eliminate all of the above.
And this is where I found a class on Zoom taught by 허 선생님, a native speaker based in Korea. She also runs a youtube channel that teaches the Korean language, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMx6DvyVefA7Lh0FMBTS-sQ
My review of the course
The class is fully delivered in Korean which might sound intimidating especially for beginners - but this is exactly why I signed up for the class. I want a fully immersive experience while learning the language, unlike language schools in Singapore where the course is delivered in a mix of English and Korean.
In terms of delivery, She is very patient and helpful when conducting the class. Has good communication skills and at the same time professional. She is very bubbly and cheerful making the class enjoyable. Although she speaks fully in Korean - her word choices and body language make it rather simple and easy to understand - like I was able to understand the context of what she's trying to say 70-75% of the time.
Since this is a speaking-oriented class, each lesson focuses on a specific grammar point and how to apply it in everyday conversation. The lesson is 1.5hrs long, once a week, with homework at the end. Materials are well prepared, easy to read, and well structured with good explanations on the grammar point.
Class size is up to 6 students from all over the world. Each student is given an equal chance to practice and express themselves throughout the lessons. And here you might find other students who are better in Korean, which could motivate you to improve more.

Overall, I have a fantastic and lively interactive lesson with 허 선생님 that 1.5 hrs seems short. I'm looking forward to continuing this Korean learning journey with her
