My first DIY RIG Questions

I would be building my first rig which would be red and black themed..After much research, I ended up with these two cases in mind:

1. Corsair SPEC-01 from Lazada ($79)
2. Xigmatek Mach II from Qoo10 Video-Pro ($68)

The corsair is the one that is more popular with case builders around the world but many reviews said that the cabling is quite bad (?). IMO, the Xigmatek Mach ii looks better but I am hesitant because I would not find any reviews or comments about that case..

The question would be which is the better case for me or should I spend more on a better case like the Define R5? (The Black/Red NZXT H440 would be awesome but it is so ex )

Secondly, what are the viable AC wifi cards available in Singapore at the moment? Currently I am looking at the Intel desktop 7260..

Thirdly, what kind of GTX-970 is suitable for my rig? GTX-980 overkill?

MB: Asus Z170-P D3 (BOUGHT)
RAM: Avexir core 1600Mhz 4GB x4 (BOUGHT)
GPU: GTX 970/980 (???)
SSD: Samsung 500GB (BOUGHT)
HDD: Toshiba 1TB [7200 rpm] - $67 (Sim Lim)
PSU: SuperFlower Leadex Gold 550W Full Modular 80+ Gold (BOUGHT)
Monitor: Asus VX238h (CURRENT MONITOR)

Your motherboard isn't even red...

GTX 980 can be a little tight on your 550W PSU on the long run....

No choice since I got this second hand together with the CPU, maybe will change to a red black one with DDR4 in the future

Thanks for the suggestion, what are the things that this case is better than the corsair and xigmatek? I did saw this case but there were reviews saying that the T28 is lacking in build quality..

I've build CPU for clients with all those brands and i felt that Sharkoon is better than Corsair in this price segment. Xigmatek in between them.

And how much you gotten your 2nd hand Skylake??

And maybe do consider ASUS PCE-AC68 for red theme or get powerline homelugs altogether....

I got the CPU+Mobo+RAM for $710 from a nice seller at the "blue camp" in total..price still ok?

What type of cases would you suggest that would fit the gold mobo? (but my cooler is red T_T ) I saw a black-gold bitfenix Neos after a brief search in lazada =X

I think it is quite ok since the mobo and cpu is around 2weeks old only (dated 1st Oct) so I got it from him..

What are the best/most suitable cases if my budget for the case is upped to around $150?
