My First PC Build

Hey guys,

Been playing DOTA 2 on my 6yr old laptop with a 920M and although I can play on low settings fine, it's come to the point that it's starting to get laggy. I also want to start getting into a few FPS games.

With that in mind, I thought of building a budget PC with plans to upgrading in the future if I really get into FPS games. Here it goes.

Ryzen 5 3400g + Asrock B450M Steel Legend = $355
KLEVV BOLT 3200MHz CL16 8GBx2 = $105
ADATA SX8200 PRO 500GB = $135
CM Masterwatt 550W Bronze = $82
Texware M3+ = $59

Total = $736

I went with the APU since I mainly just play DOTA 2 for now and think it's sufficient. I should be able to save up for a GPU in the future if really needed. The prices are based off Dynacore price list online.

if ur going for an apu only build, 550w is a bit much, also i wouldnt trust cooler master except their mwe gold line. i would suggest dropping down to 500w or even 450w, and if ur already paying so much, u could consider the corsair cx450m, which is also semi modular. 450w is also enough for 1080p gpus like the 1660s or rx580 if u wish to upgrade in the future.

other than that, looks good.

What about EVGA BV 500W 80+ bronze, it's priced at $69 from Dynacore.

personally got a cx450m from tradepac for $80, i think bizgram also have when i went last month, but more ex at $93.
most ppl would recommend fsp hyper k for really budget 500w at $62.
