It disgusts me when I see 1 acquintance of mine flexing his flamboyant financial agent's lifestyle on facebook. Makes me siam far far and want to have nothing to do with them. Rather make a direct deal with good, low-key and resputable companies like NTUC Income than those showboaty ones like AIA INZY.

Lolz.
Because (from a simplistic pt of view) insurlance ish rike gambling.
Buyed insurlance = chiu betting on ownself up lorry and get payout.
If chiu nothing happen, chiu lose.

Sho if insurlance company which ish the house ask chiu to place chuir bets, do chiu think they hab 'rigged' the game (i.e. policy) to ensure pple generally lose?

Leemember house ish always win wor.
Sho do chiu wants to place chuir bets?

Lolz.
If nothing happens to you, you lose? Because you lost the premiums?

Interesting.

I mean yeah but that's the human greed element of it. The agents are supposed to be on the side of the client. But of cos that's what they teach you in their coaching classes.

They just set it up so that the agent's greed will steer him to the unspoken part of the job.

Many new insurance agents enter the industry with little understanding of its inner workings. They are then introduced to extravagant award nights where top performers—often those who engage in unethical sales tactics—are celebrated by management. Over time, they come to the harsh realization that success in the industry often means abandoning their integrity and discarding their ethical standards. They also learn that genuinely caring for customers is frequently seen as less important than simply hitting sales targets.

To survive in this environment, agents often feel the need to adopt a “Kim Siew” mentality, where personal values take a backseat to financial success.

It’s a sad but undeniable reality.
