Overall : the understatement chassis but over powered [ if configured to the max ] is what makes this ideal even in corporate world. Not too flashy yet neither overly dull.


Some minor issue, at least i've come across would be the nvidia not kicking in most of the time, will be monitoring for it

Gotten 2 bluescreens, that will be on the watch list.

Thus far, i'm overly contented with this raging beast of a gaming machine, which i would rather take my time customizing and optimizing. Especially, when theres ssd, i've move most of the temp, downloads, documents directory to the spare rotary hdd

Nvidia Optimus is not as smart as it seems... Usually only the nvidia optimized games have no issue but an example would be that optimus kicks in when steam is running (which does not make any sense to waste energy)

Anyway, the bluescreen you experienced, are you able to reproduce them? I experienced BSOD once when I first installed OS my system. But after I reinstalled the OS again, it went away. Might be software/ driver related issue for my case.

Yea, only after i've rebooted, then the applications would show in the gpu icon for the nvida tray.
Hopefully someone can point me out on the proper way, cus either not all applications icon gets shown in the tray, or that its really not picking the software need to run

regards to the BSOD :

1st time was when i was half way installing the driver, chipset to be exact of the Intel, BSODed then cannot install.

2nd was just a few minutes ago, which it happened [ posted on the Aftershock thread gona stick to there for more awareness ] whilst doing just meager stuff, not even close to maximizing the rams.

what i suspect, might be the ssd though...are you on one as well? watzup_ken

After which, I could not get back into my OS as it was corrupted. Did a reinstall, and now its fine for almost 2.5 months now if I am not mistaken.

The ssd is actually the msata from samsung, hope its not some refurbished set... *default from Aftershockpc machine selection*

Now having some weird ass issue of not being able to delete folders.
Wonder if i should re-stage the entire thing hmm...
If one gets windows 7 updated and done, its good for at least 2 years straight [ if normal hdd, then a defrag is definitely needed.

This one is a different class altogether man. The higher cost is def a result of the top end graphics and elaborate cooling system used.

Just an update, i've check with Marcus, theres no refurbish parts on the ssd, thus most likely its the Windows 7 issue [ driver issues or something ]

When it happens again will let you folks know

Why don't u try Windows 8? Been gaming on it for awhile now and no problem.
The Metro interface suck but u can install some third party software to bring the Start button back.
