Update on my issue.

Its was resolved on Tuesday. Have been enjoying my speedy fibre connection. Thanks for the response. :)

For people looking to sign up, it really does take about 2 weeks to get everything running.

I hope MR can fix their SSL certificates, given the rash of hacking incidents

Updating Samsung phones firmware on MR is so slow that one can have a short nap in the time taken.

Yes. In fact if all your device are using N. Any user adding a G Device into the network will cause the speed to drop to G. slowing down to the oldest device to be compatible.

Think someone should create a short explanation of wireless vs wired and paste it every time someone post about wireless... too many people asking about it all the time.

It's common knowledge that wireless will always slower than wired =) all else everyone would be using wireless and not wired.

Quick one for the tech heads:

OpenNet came by and installed TP yesterday.

The signal was tested as follows:

OTL -18.52dbm

Technician told me a reading below -30dbm is good but I saw pics of other TP boxes showing signal as low as -14dbm.

I know one shouldnt get too bothered by numbers but I have to ask:

Is -18.52dbm signal strong enough to give me the kind of speed boost that supports seamless streaming? Thanks

It is within the acceptable range. The reasons why difference people have difference reading is because of various reasons like the workmanship, the quality of the Optic Fibre, the connection point.

I remembered mine was about 19.

If you are talking about seamless streaming, there are a lot of factors: one of the most important yet people tends to forget is the source(server) of your video. e.g. the server hardware whereby the video is being stored. The ISPs that the server is connected to before connecting to MR

so far all my video streaming is good and accepted, maybe my expectation is super high.
