I set my router manual DNS to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

Late afternoon got a little problem, can't connect to outside sg websites. After few minutes no issue already.

Bandwidth still good in day time.

Gonna wait till 10pm and test surfing and bandwidth.

I'm on MR 1gbps
Direct LAN to ONT get 900+mbps
Direct LAN to router get nearly 900mbps.
*This part I'm satisfied. Cos not bad throughput.

now still can get 900+? you test again speed-test, telin server, don't use their own speedtest.

there always a huge different between speed-test result and their own speedtest.myrepublic, now i getting 100 to 300+ from all the 5 speedtest sg server and only speedtest.myrepublic is giving me 900 lol :s22:

oh my 900+mbps was tested in the mid-afternoon with speedtest.net on Telin server.
Mid-afternoon, MR speedtest and Telin server results are the same.

Now @ 9.15pm via LAN connection
MR Speedtest = 794mbps/468mbps
Telin Speedtest.net = 272mbps/468mbps

There could be 2 reasons only.

1) download throttling (but will verify later if the results are stable, then it is throttling)
2) fibre is shared bandwidth (if the results are different each time with wide gap, then I'll agree to the point that block or my neighbourhood many many MR users.

But if later have multiple connections cannot connect to websites again, then YES it is MR issue for not having better routing tables causing congestion (bottlenet) at it's server end.

Then again, if cannot connect to websites, but can connect to YouTube, then I will have to bomb MR for have super bad routing tables.

Which requires a direct call to MR hotline ASAP. I'll have the number ready in my phone!!!!

the people at myrepublic really telling me crap, trying to say my router problem, now I direct ONT
I send them the needed "evidence" as my last leap of faith towards their service, hopefully they do something to rectify it. If not I'm going to IDA.

Tested using my iPad with 5ghz wifi 10 mins ago.. I believe this throttling is area based..

Using WiFi, with AS58U, router is 3 meters away from me.
Telin Test: download: 2.18Mbps, upload: 46.61Mbps.

Getting tired of my friends with 6 Mbps cable having faster download speeds than me on 1 Gbps...
