have just recently re contracted to 1gbps, past week 100mbps also not too stable for twitch, but apart from constant buffering for twitch on 1gbps which can be bypassed using hola, otherthings seem fine, speedtest shows 900+mbps torrent speed also faster now

Twitch was bad on the 100Mbps then gradually became stable, I was able to stream at source back in august before i came on the 1Gbps.

Thing is twitch is not geolocked, so its bad that we need to use VPN such as hola to get better streaming.

Currently my speedtest at night around 9-12 is very bad since the maintenance started. direct downloads, steam downloads and battle.net downloads dropped as well to almost 300Mbps speeds.

Update: they push forward my Fri appointment to tomorrow morning. Hope everything goes well when I'm not around.

Thanks for the reply. Hope it also helps others as to what to expect. I want to personally see to the installation so took leave on Fri also to enjoy long weekend. Didn't expect this to happen.

Anybody experience better twitch streaming at source quality after their "scheduled maintenance and upgrade"? Just got mine this morning and there seems to be no perceptible difference in the twitch streaming and overall internet experience :s8:

My scheduled maintenance was 22 Sept for MR 1gbps at home and still no-go. Even my office 500mbps business line is buffering with Twitch every 5-10 sec on Source, High and Medium. Very disappointing.

I think one should wait till the whole scheduled maintenance (not just individual areas) is completed before concluding if Twitch is not working or not.

I really hope so, do we know when the maintenance is supposed to end? Mid to end Oct?

Based on the email, it stated till 16 Oct 2014 because I also not too sure if MR will have maintenance for their back-end infrastructure apart from the various areas.

new customer of MR for a week already.
for at least half the week, the internet connection around this hour (like around 10pm(?) to early morning, not sure exactly as i'd have slept past the duration by then) is as good as non-existent.
Not a good start for a new MR customer :(
I don't surf twitch tv, so idk the situation on that side...

the connection is so terrible i'm making this post on my data plan. yes, i'm at home and using my data plan  anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Nope.. didn't have any issues. Was streaming some youtube.. playing some web based game in UK, Facebook'ing and checking email. Webpage didn't hesitate more than half a second to load. It could be more of a localized problem for you. Are you using Wireless?
