Due to the billing department's inefficiency, i kena 2 mths billing for this mth, Nov and Sept. As my GIRO is setup-ed to auto deduct $59 for the monthly bills, how do i pay for the 2nd charged month? I cant find any option at the drop down bar under DBS bill payment tab.

Also, their accounts now gt issue, all my bills gone le, cant see anything. The type of plan im using is now stated as COMING SOON...

They really fallen hard sia...

Hi,
I think MR fixed it ... I removed the iptables script and restored the router via the firmware .. Netflix still works !!

They indeed did some tweaking on their end. I was having trouble loading Netflix in Chrome, and had to use Firefox for the past few days.

Now, miraculously Netflix loads fine in Chrome without me changing or updating anything.

How come your 2 months are Sep and Nov instead of Oct and Nov?

Thats the inefficiency of MR billing department.. They didnt send me the bill for Sept. Come Nov, i received both bills lor... I alrdy paid for Oct.

Question is, since i have alrdy set up GIRO for monthly payment, will it auto deduct $120 or just $60?

Your devices need to support 802.11a, 802.11n or 802.11ac protocol in order to detect and connect on 5Ghz frequency.

IEEE 802.11
Ok, my bad. Didnt clearly explain what i wanted to shout out. Here is whats happening. Using my Note2 LTE phone, i can get the 5ghz channel to watch HD movies. But using 2.4ghz seems faster n noticeably lesser lags. Even when im the only user in the house and is sitting rite next to the router. Anyway for the past few days i gave up on watching movietube in HD format. A few times get connection lost issues. P

That's VERY good.. what BT client do you use? Could you share the optimal settings ? Please PM if appropriate 1!

Sure thing,

I use μTorrent 3.4.2 (build 34944 - 32 bit). Pertinent Settings that I use:

Global Maximum Number of Connections: 500
Maximum Number of Connected Peers Per Torrent: 200

If this helps, I am connected to the main router through two gigabit LAN switches (have a pretty wired-up house). This is my direct HTTP download speeds,

GIRO is a payment transfer from one bank account to another bank account, instigated by the payer. Nothing is required from the payee as the amount will automatically be deducted from your bank account instigated by the payer (MR) unless there are insufficient funds.

Unless your payment mode is by credit card, the amount will be charged to your credit card by MR. Then the payee has to either pay the credit card bill manually or setup his/her IB to pay the credit card bill the amount monthly.

In short, it will auto deduct the 2 months amount which is $120.

What you mentioned in bold sound like your payment mode is by credit card and not GIRO.

I assumed you got no issue with wired connection. Are you able to test the WiFi with other devices apart from your Note 2 LTE?

There are a few possibilities:
  1. Your neighbours are mostly on 5Ghz frequency that could affect the connection speed
  2. Note 2 LTE phone issue (test with another device to double check)
  3. Router issue (test with another device to double check)
  4. Internet connection issue (test with wired connection to rule out this)

For your case, MR is charging to your POSB GO! MasterCard Debit Card which acts as a credit card.

The difference between debit and credit card is the amount charged to your debit card will automatically deduct from your bank account whereas one has to pay the amount being charged to his/her credit card manually or through IB.
